Halvening
To manage inflationary pressures and ensure long-term sustainability, the Void Protocol features a halvening mechanism based on reward emissions. This model works similarly to Bitcoin’s halving event, where reward emissions will gradually decrease after a certain circulating token supply cap is reached.
Early Rewards
Early participants, such as early players and node operators, are incentivized with higher rewards during the initial phases of the ecosystem.
Gradual Reduction
After the circulating token cap is reached, rewards will gradually decrease, preserving the value of $VOID tokens and preventing inflation.
The Void Protocol introduces a dynamic halvening mechanism designed to regulate reward emissions and ensure long-term sustainability. Unlike Bitcoin’s fixed 50% reduction at predetermined intervals, the Void Protocol operates on a more granular system, reducing rewards by 25% after every 25% of the total token supply has been distributed . This approach ensures that the ecosystem remains adaptive to growth while maintaining a steady decrease in inflationary pressure.
By implementing smaller, incremental reductions, the protocol achieves the same overall effect as Bitcoin’s halving but with greater flexibility. This allows for smoother adjustments in reward distribution, aligning with the evolving needs of players, node operators, and the broader ecosystem.
